Here, There and Everywhere

Holy cow its been over a month since I posted anything up... my apologies. Life has been pretty busy around here for the Krebs.

I'll just do a few quick overviews.

1) We went up to Dallas for a quick trip for Kam's cousins wedding. Dallas is about a 5 hour drive from Houston, which wasn't too bad, plus Kam's brother and his wife went up there also so we had some fun company.  It was a fun adventure and it was good to be able to see some family.

On a sidenote-- we ate some REALLY good food while we were there.

2) It was Kam's 26th Birthday on February 2nd and it wasn't that exciting to say the least. I really tried to make it as special as possible, but honestly there's only so much you can do when the birthday boy has to work 12 hours a day.  But I did manage to do some decorating, I got some presents together for him and we went to dinner with family and ate some delicious cheesecake to end the day.  It ended up being a pretty great!

3) Kam and I helped our Brother and Sister-in-law move into a 2 bedroom apartment! They were sharing a room with their baby...who is now one, so the upgrade was VERY necessary to say the least.  Baby finally has her own room and she is a very talented escape artist who figured out how to crawl out of her crib and open the locked door on night 1.  But honestly, how can you even stay mad at a baby who looks like this...

She's just SO freaking cute I can't handle it.

4) The weekend after we helped move our brother and sister-in-law, we decided to move into their old apartment.  We were having serious issues with our old place and we made the last minute decision to move.  Kam had to kindof force me to agree to it, ha. I just didn't want all the hassle of moving and changing our address and everything, especially being pregnant.  It was literally the last thing I wanted to do. But I gave in and I am SO HAPPY that I did. Best. Decision. Ever.  The place is SO MUCH BETTER in every way possible.  So, we spent the weekend moving and nesting.  We got all the decorations up and situated by the end of the weekend (I can thank Kam for that, ha. I was in NO mood to do much of anything).

5) So Kam and I were plannning on going to Jacksonville, FL for a quick work trip (and I was going to just tag-along of course), that very Monday after we got all moved in.  We had everything worked out to go and we were so excited.  But we found out a few days earlier that all 8 of us Krebs kids (Minus Kels, who is serving a mission in Tacoma WA) would be flying over to Hawaii to spend about 8 days over there.  My father-in-law wanted us kids to go have one last "hoorah" and help pack up the place because they sold the house. It was pretty bittersweet saying goodbye, but it was amazing to be able to spend those few days playing on the beach, surfing, enjoying the last few moments in that house and eating all the delicious food on the North Shore.  It was definitely an experience I'll never forget and the memories I have in Hawaii with my husband and his family will always be dear to my heart.  I know we'll go back again someday to show our kids where Kam grew up.

Sidenote- I am 23 weeks along and my belly looks HUGE in this picture. Im not sure if that's how big it always is these days, or if it's a food belly and pregnant belly all in one, ha.

6) I had an ultrasound yesterday and it was so exciting.  It was technically my 20 week checkup where they run a whole bunch of tests and measurements on the baby to make sure she's doing okay and growing on track.  I had one at 18 weeks, but baby was in such a funky position that they couldn't check half the measurements they needed to, little stinker.  This time, baby was again not cooperating! Finally after 2 whole hours, 2 doctors later, and a lot of movement, they got all the measurements they needed to. Baby is looking great :) She was laying like a frog in my belly with her legs folded up.  She would cross her legs and then kick out and pull them back in SO fast.  She also kept sticking her tongue out at us.  It's like she new that we were all watching her, it was so funny.  I have a riot child already, who enjoys giving me a hard time, ha. The last 2 ultrasounds that I've had she's been sitting in such a complicated position that I STILL haven't seen with my own eyes if "she" is actually a "she".  I got blood work done at 14 weeks which told us that we're having a girl, but that's all I've got.  The doctors haven't actually been able to see whats going on down there, ha. I know blood work is typically 98% effective, so I'm counting on her being a girl. But if she comes out a he, he'll be wearing pink and headbands forever.

Baby is looking more and more like an actual baby! Keep growing little Miss, we love you so much already!
